Hey, I'm Dee, a Licensed Clinical Therapist, & Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor, thanks for checking out my profile. First off, Great work…I say this to commend you for taking this first step towards a better you. Now, Let me tell you a bit about myself. My approach to therapy has been described as a relaxed, conversational style approach, looking at the whole person in need, and getting to know you before any advice is given. I have over 25 of experience in the human service field. I use a combination of therapy styles ,with elements of a Motivational style of conversation , as well as many elements of life coaching skills in my practice. I see growth as something that happens mentally, physically, and spiritually. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, when helping you view things in your life from a different perspective. I incorporate some aspects of Mindfulness, breathing and meditation as well, all in helping to have a supportive promotion of your self improvement. I can offer personal advice on bettering your physical health, from my extensive and continued work in the fields of nutrition, fitness and wellness . I do all this, with an ultimate goal of increasing your understanding about yourself, and offering help to get things the way you want them in your life. My style is a person centered approach with every one of my clients. I specialize in work with clients dealing with everyday life struggles in family, parenting, career, relationships, self esteem, confidence, and intimacy. I have many years of work with those involved in the justice system, both institutional and in the community, and can help you get back on track from life's misjudgements . I can help you heal from past or present experiences of neglect, trauma, and abuse from my years of service within the child welfare system.
