Nancy Martinez

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with dual master’s degrees in psychology and social work. I have been in the mental health field since 1993 and have experience working with clients dealing with several issues including depression, anxiety, medical/health issues, social issues, family, relationship and parenting challenges, military and veteran issues, and trauma (including abuse and neglect). My approach tends to be client centered and relaxed. I view the client-therapist relationship as a partnership where we walk together on this journey to discover the tools and assist the client in learning to utilize them so that the client can live a happier, more fulfilling and successful life. I use cognitive behavioral therapy, functional family therapy, solution focused therapy and tools from motivational interviewing and trauma-informed care in my sessions. Drawing from these modalities, I am able to shape each client’s treatment plan to fit their situation according to their needs, challenges, strengths, and personalities; by doing this it allows for a unique therapeutic partnership that sets us up for success.
