About me

I have worked as a mental health and substance abuse counselor for over 25 years. I’ve been a master’s level licensed therapist since 2001 and have held my LCSW in Florida since 2012. I graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelors degree in psychology and from Georgia State University with a Master of Social Work degree. I’ve worked with a wide range of diverse populations including children, teens, adults, and geriatrics in inpatient crisis stabilization, residential, and outpatient therapy settings. I’ve worked with individuals, couples and families. My core experience is in treating abuse/ trauma issues, mood disorders, personality disorders, substance abuse, family conflict, and life transitions. My primary focus is on helping my clients gain insight, education, and coping strategies to overcome the challenges they are facing in their lives.
