Meshelle Lesner

Hi my name is Meshelle Lesner and I use she/her pronouns. I am licensed in Ohio with 9 years of professional therapy experience. I enjoy working with diverse clients with a wide variety of difficulties. The most common issues I work with are depression, trauma, and helping people have a life worth living no matter what their circumstances. I am certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy for Trauma, am experienced in using Dialectical Behavioral Therapy with both individuals and groups, am a part of the LGBTQ+ community and familiar with the WPATH standards. Over twenty years experience working in the Developmental Disabilities community has shaped my belief that one size does not fit all and that everyone has their own way of being their best self. I am effective at adapting proven therapeutic approaches to each person’s unique life situation. I am active, engaging, and creative during therapy sessions. It is my practice to frequently check in with clients to ensure that I am offering them safe space and that the work we are doing is making a difference for them. We all struggle sometimes and having someone walk alongside you during difficult times can make a difference. I believe that you are the expert on you and your life. It is my job to offer safe space, be your ally, and support your work in mending relationships with yourself and others, healing from trauma, and learning how to have a life worth living.
