Hello! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Florida. I earned my Master of Social Work degree, specializing in Mental Health, from East Carolina University in 2006. I’ve been a practicing therapist working in Community Mental Health, the United States Air Force, Navy and other federal agencies. AREAS OF EXPERTISE: TRAUMA, ANXIETY, DEPRESSION, MARRIAGE COUNSELING, RELATIONSHIP PROBLEMS I have extensive experience working with the military, Veterans, and their families. I have worked with those who are coping with anxiety, depression, family concerns, and specific and lifetime trauma concerns. Relationship problems, including marriage counseling, are also a specialty of mine. I prefer to tailor my counseling approach to evidence-based treatments, matching treatment to client needs, while ensuring client readiness. I prefer to learn about where my clients are at using assessments to evaluate areas of strength and areas we can work on. Research shows, however, the most important aspect of counseling is the therapeutic relationship. Growth comes through relationship. Working together brings about growth in you and your counselor.
