About me

I am a licensed clinical social worker licensed in the state of Washington. In my career, I have mostly worked in mental health and substance use/abuse treatment. I received a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Missouri, a Masters in Social Work from the University of Georgia, and Ph.D. from the University of Utah. Additionally, I have worked as a clinical supervisor for social workers and mental health counselors for 12+ years. I have recently studied trauma-informed therapy experiences. I utilize cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, reality, structural family therapy, spiritually-centered and solution focused interventions. My training is in family systems and feminist theory in psychotherapy. Our work will be collaborative, meaning you and I will work together to establish your goals and work toward achieving them. I believe in a person-in-the-environment perspective. We will explore your internal thoughts and feelings, and also the impact of your environment on your health and wellness.
