About Marissa

I am an LCSW with over 15 years of experience. The majority of my time in the field has been spent working in the school setting and with children and families. I have worked with people diagnosed with disorders such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, autism, OCD, ODD, and mood disorders. I have also worked with many people facing financial crises, adjustment to life change issues, trauma and abuse. My style of counseling is calm and welcoming, and I believe that establishing rapport is the best way to initiate a working client-therapist relationship. I pride myself on being neutral and non-judgemental and creating a safe space for my clients. I believe my style of counseling combines the elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy with a client-centered approach, as well as mindfulness as needed. Your treatment plan and goals will be uniquely designed to treat the issues you want to work on in therapy. I commend you for taking that first step towards helping yourself, and I look forward to participating in that journey with you. Read more Show less
