About Maci
Healing begins when you feel safe enough to be seen. Life can leave us carrying experiences that are difficult to process or even put into words. Trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, major life transitions, and experiences of rejection or discrimination can affect how we see ourselves, connect with others, and move through the world. If you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or simply ready for something to change, therapy can provide a safe space to understand your experiences and begin moving forward. As a Licensed Independent Social Worker Clinical Practice (LISW-CP), I work with teens, young adults, and adults, with a particular focus on individuals navigating trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, serious mental illness, relationship concerns, self-esteem and body image, and life transitions. I am skilled at supporting clients through divorce, separation, attachment-related concerns, workplace challenges, women's issues, sexuality concerns, and the emotional impact of sexual assault and abuse. I also work with individuals who have experienced prejudice, discrimination, or institutional and systemic trauma, including those impacted by incarceration and other systems. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Mindfulness, grounding and breathing techniques, and Moral Recognition Therapy. I also have experience supporting individuals navigating self-harm, mood disorders, and personality-related challenges. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel safe, seen, empowered, and accepted without judgment. I will create space for you to be honest about where you are while also challenging you when appropriate. My goal is not simply to help you cope with what you are experiencing, but to help you develop greater insight, strengthen your sense of self, build healthier relationships, and identify meaningful ways to move forward. Healing does not mean erasing what happened to you. It means having the opportunity to reclaim your voice, your identity, your dignity, and your sense of possibility. You do not have to have everything figured out before beginning therapy. We can start where you are and work together toward where you want to be. MSW | DSW Candidate | LISW-CP Read more Show less
