About me

I am a clinical social worker licensed in Michigan, with over 30 years of experience in counseling, training new therapists, and teaching graduate students in social work practice. I have worked with very diverse clients in counseling , including individuals struggling with identity, relationships issues, life stressors, depression, anxiety, and trauma. In addition, I have over 20 years experience working with LGBTQIA+ individuals and their families. I am committed to helping my clients find their unique and true selves. I believe that change happens when we feel supported, understood, and valued. My clients would describe me as a good listener, direct, non-judgmental and practical. In my work, I use a variety of approaches that have been proven effective through research, including Cognitive-Behavioral, Solution-Focused, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Congratulations on taking the first step in making changes in your life. I look forward to getting to know you so we can work together on a plan for change!
