About Lindsay
Hello! I can only imagine if you are reading this right now you have tried several ways to feel better and at this point something has to give. I am here to assist you in creating and working toward goals that will positively impact your overall well-being. I am told by clients that I am down to earth and help them feel at ease. I use a holistic integrative approach with clients, which basically means looking at a person as a whole (mind, body and spirit) and then find ways to meet their unique needs with evidenced based treatment. I am a licensed clinical social worker and have been practicing for 11 years. I have a bachelor's of science with a major in psychology and master's of social work from the University of Utah. I am licensed and currently practice in Utah and Wyoming. I have experience providing treatment for individuals, families, and groups in the following settings: community mental health, private practice, and psychiatric hospitals. I worked in child welfare for several years in the past advocating for children and families. I volunteered at the prison in the mental health section teaching women basic life skills and ran therapy groups at a women's halfway house while completing my degrees. I have had the opportunity to work with people of all walks of life. Empowering others is one of my passions in life! My clinical interests and majority of my experience include treating: physical, emotional, and/or sexual trauma, depression, anxiety disorders, relationship issues, addictions, and adjustment to major life changes. The treatment modalities I may use are: cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectic behavioral therapy (DBT), narrative therapy, solution focused brief therapy, motivational interviewing, positive psychology, mindfulness, eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR), and family systems theory. I have a blended family with two teenage step-kids and one biological son who is a toddler. My husband is a veteran and I have experience running the ship at home when he is away. I can relate to the stress of taking care of everything and trying to maintain a healthy balance. I look forward to getting to know more about you! Read more Show less
