About Laura

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been working in the field for over 10 years. I graduated from the University at Buffalo in 2009 with a Masters in Social Work. I have worked with a wide range of individuals in areas including depression, anxiety, stress management, coping with grief/loss, mood disorders and parenting/relationship issues. I find it very important to build a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust. I believe we can all grow through challenging experiences by increasing our self-awareness. It is truly important to be able to share our personal struggles and experiences without the fear of being judged. I pride myself on being warm, compassionate, open minded and non-judgmental. I utilize several techniques in my counseling style but a few are Cognitive-Behavioral, Mindfulness/DBT, Solution-Focused and, most important, person centered. Whether you are going through a difficult time, are seeking change or simply need an ear to listen, I am here to support you in your journey. Read more Show less
