About Kristin

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas with 10 years of professional work experience. I have worked with clients to help them heal and cope with a wide range of mental health issues including depression, trauma, anxiety and mood disorders. I have experience treating adult and adolescent clients with diverse cultural backgrounds who deal with grief, conflict in relationships, and work/school stressors, among other challenges. I believe the most effective growth of an individual happens during self-exploration, and my job is to be the guide. I utilize a foundation of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and integrate a person-centered approach. In addition to this, some modalities I incorporate into my practice include dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused CBT, and mindfulness techniques. For your treatment, my hope is that you gain a new perspective, skills to cope with life's stressors, and the ability to challenge negative beliefs that no longer serve you. I understand how difficult it can be to seek help, and I am here to support you in your healing process. Read more Show less
