About Kirsten

I believe that when people find and embrace their own strengths and trust in themselves; they can make positive changes in their lives. It's important to me that I provide a warm and trusting place for my clients to explore, grow, and thrive in. I draw from my experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused, and Mindfulness modalities to tailor therapy to meet each of my clients needs and preferences. I graduated summa cum laude with a Master's of Science in mental health counseling in 2015. I have experience in hospital settings conducting behavioral health assessments and providing crisis intervention/stabilization, treatment, and discharge planning. In individual therapy, I have helped clients with depression, anxiety, grief, trauma/loss, domestic violence, neglect/abuse, substance abuse, body image and self-esteem, suicidal ideation/non-suicidal self-injury, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, dementia, and chronic medical conditions.
