About Kelley

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in South Dakota and West Virginia with more than twenty-six years of experience supporting clients through trauma, depression, anxiety, addiction, and the stressors that make life feel overwhelming. I specialize in helping people understand how trauma affects the mind, body, and soul, and how those experiences can increase negative thoughts, disrupt emotional regulation, and impact daily functioning. Together we explore triggers, emotional patterns, and ways to organize overwhelming experiences, so they no longer take over daily life. I help clients explore healthy ways to organize and manage difficult thoughts, so they feel less overwhelming and support greater emotional steadiness and regulation. I also work with clients on building healthier boundaries, strengthening communication, increasing self-love, and supporting personal growth. My approach is client centered and solution focused, with a strong emphasis on personal strengths, emotional resilience, and rebuilding self-worth. I often incorporate creative expression, mindful awareness, positive affirmations, and healthy boundary building to help clients reconnect with themselves and develop tools that support healing, insight, and self discovery. I believe people need a safe and supportive place to share their feelings and experiences. I strive to create a collaborative and compassionate environment where you can explore your challenges, understand your patterns, and develop resilience. Through evidence-based practices and a trauma informed lens, I aim to empower clients to overcome obstacles, rebuild confidence, and move toward a more grounded and fulfilling life.
