About Jordan

Hello! My name is Jordan King. I have my Masters in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling with a focus in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of South Florida. It is very courageous for clients to take the necessary steps to better their health, especially their mental health. I am committed to working with clients to reach their goals, experience healing, and learn coping skills so that they can be the best versions of themselves. I have completed further training to be a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) as well as currently completing training hours in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern, I have been working in this field for 7 years and have experience working with marriages, families, adults, adolescents, and children. I specifically work with kids, male adolescents, college age men, adult men, families and couples. I believe that our thoughts will eventually determine our behaviors. I use cognitive behavioral therapy, positive psychology, motivational interviewing, and family systems theory among other theories to help my clients succeed in their initial reasoning for wanting therapy. As your therapist we will work together and figure out what works best for you. Read more Show less
