About me

I am a licensed psychologist in Illinois with over 20 years of experience. My primary clinical focus is helping clients navigate concerns related to addiction and recovery. This includes not only alcohol and substance abuse disorders but also process addictions such as gambling, pornography, internet use, and social media dependency. I integrate evidence-based support groups (e.g., AA/NA, Recovery Dharma & SMART Recovery) into one’s recovery program to enhance and sustain long-term recovery. In addition to my specialization in addictions, I also work with clients experiencing depression and anxiety, trauma and grief, relationship conflicts, anger management issues, adult ADHD challenges, and job or career difficulties. Both my therapy and coaching styles are person-centered, values-based, and solution-focused. I am committed to treating each individual with respect, sensitivity, and unconditional positive regard. My multimodal therapeutic approach integrates Focused Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (FACT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Humanistic-Existential therapy, Harm Reduction methods, Hypnotherapy, and Self-Help Facilitation strategies. I provide psychoeducation to ensure clients thoroughly understand their challenges, and I personalize all therapy sessions and treatment plans to meet each client’s unique needs and goals. Additionally, I conduct more in-depth psychological assessments when needed. Achieving meaningful change through solution-focused therapy requires openness, self-awareness, and committed action toward psychological flexibility and a more fulfilling life. I look forward to supporting and facilitating your journey toward these positive changes. Please consult with the BetterHelp administrative staff to see if your insurance can be applied to your therapy sessions.
