About me

I am a Licenses Professional Counselor and a Certified Anger Management Specialist who has been in the Behavioral Health field for over 19 years. I chose to pursue a career in the Behavioral Health Field as a result of my need for professional counseling during a challenging period in my own life. Because of the help I received, I decided to change my career path and become a part of the “Caring Profession”. My counseling style is personable and interactive. I believe in people’s abilities to bring about positive change in their lives if provided with the right support and guidance at crucial intervals in their lives. Because I consider myself a Christian, using biblical principles in my counseling come natural. I enjoy helping people. As a Professional Therapist, I am afforded the opportunity to be a listening ear for individuals in need of nurturing, sympathy, empathy, and emotional support and guidance. I have experience working with survivors of child abuse, trauma, domestic violence, divorce, family separation, and blended family conflicts. Also experienced in: Addictions , Relationship issues , Anger management , Self-esteem , Coping with life changes , Compassion fatigue , and Stress. My approach to counseling includes the use of a variety of therapeutic modalities, based of the Client’s needs and their capacity to engage in the treatment process. Some of these modalities includes, but is not limited to: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client Centered Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy, all of which I have utilized in providing treatment for the following challenges: Depression, Anxiety, Grief, ADHD, and Bi-Polar, Disorder. etc. I look forward to utilizing my educational skills and years of experience to help bring about positive change in the lives of individuals I am privileged to serve. I look forward to the opportunity to serve you!.
