About me

NOTE: At this time, I am only working by texting, or using the audio feature to leave voice texts, which I find MUCH easier than typing, and often much more personal, and connecting…..I prefer to not do video or audio sessions. I find that texting and voice texting helps the counseling process span the whole week rather than being a random one hour session which may or may not end up being the time you most need to talk. .Thanks for understanding. I know some people prefer that, but I am not offering that at this time. We all experience challenges, uncertainties, relationship issues, career and work issues, mood stuff, family stuff, or anxiety. It’s part of being human during these really chaotic times. It is really smart to look for support when going through these kinds of things. Good for you… I am supportive, non-judgmental, have good advice when advice is appropriate. I have traveled a lot, and it helps me understand where many people are coming from. My clients are from all over the world. I have a good sense of humor, and I am not afraid to use it in our work. I’m very approachable and authentic. I want connect with my clients, which is even more important, working online like this. If you look at my web site, you will get more of a flavor for who I am. That’s drjamesmichaelnolan.com I tend to focus on the positive, toward possibilities, toward resources and strengths. I do not spend too much time hanging out in negativity, if possible. That doesn’t mean we can’t talk about hard stuff–I just don’t want us to hang out there for a long time before moving toward something more positive in your life. My last full-time job was as a President of a graduate school that trained Counselors. I did that for almost 13 years. I am an INFP on the Myers-Briggs, Let’s get together and see what we can do to make your life feel better. I am here, waiting to hear from you… Warmly, Jim
