About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of North Carolina, and have been an individual and family counselor for over 10 years. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns, and specialize in anxiety, relationship issues, foster care and adoptive issues, grief and loss, and parenting problems. In addition to those areas of specialty, I have helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse. I also enjoy helping people work through daily stressors, reframe challenging situations, and move towards better mental health. My counseling style is supportive and encouraging. My approach combines elements of cognitive behavioral therapy, rational-emotive counseling. strengths based, and positive focused. Elements used will depend on your specific personality and needs. It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you. I look forward to working with you!
