About Jeffrey

Welcome to Therapy I'm glad you reached out to me. My name is Jeffrey Frye, LCMHC, and I am a fully licensed clinical mental health counselor. Active participation in therapy can help you gain perspective on your current situation, develop new skills, and build an understanding that can benefit you both now and lifelong. Reaching out for support is a meaningful step, and I appreciate the opportunity to work with you. I hope our work together can offer support as you navigate this time. Our first meeting will be a structured intake assessment to help me understand your current concerns, relevant background, and needs. I will guide our conversation with specific questions to ensure we cover the important information needed to begin our work together. We'll also explore your hopes, goals, and expectations for therapy, along with the type of support and approach that may work best for you. This initial assessment will help us develop a shared understanding of your needs and establish a direction for our work together. Messaging Between Sessions Messaging between therapy sessions is available as needed. I review chat messages during the day, Monday through Friday. Messages received between 7 p.m. Monday and 7 p.m. Friday will be returned within 24 hours. Messages received after 7 p.m. Friday will be returned during the business day on Monday. From time to time, personal, business, or unexpected responsibilities may affect my availability. I appreciate your understanding and will make every effort to respond within the timeframes outlined above. Please remember that BetterHelp is not a crisis services provider. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please call 988, call 911, or visit your closest emergency room. Scheduling and Looking Ahead I look forward to listening to and speaking with you soon. My availability will be visible in the BetterHelp dashboard. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide 24 hours' notice whenever possible. BetterHelp's appointment and cancellation policies are available through your dashboard. Come as you are. I look forward to meeting you and beginning our work together. Jeffrey Frye, LCMHC A Note About Treatment Specialties As a general statement to all new and potential clients, I am neither trained in nor licensed to provide treatment for substance use disorders. If you have identified addiction or substance use treatment as an area of need or interest, I will direct you on how to choose a BetterHelp Substance Use Therapy Specialist. Every client deserves care that aligns with their needs and the therapist's specific training and experience. Thank you for your understanding. Read more Show less
