About me

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Washington with over 18 years of professional work experience. My education includes a Masters of Arts (M.A.) degree in Counseling from Western Seminary (Portland, OR 1999). I have done counseling in social service agencies and private practice. In addition to this counseling platform, I am employed as a Program Consultant with the WA Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF). If you have an open CPS case or you are an active foster parent with DCYF, unfortunately I would not be able to serve you as it would be a conflict of interest. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, transitions, relationship issues, family conflict, job & parenting issues. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths in order to overcome what challenges you. As a Christian who does therapy, my approach is both clinical and respectful, honoring your own personal beliefs and values. You ultimately choose what changes you want to make, if any, you want to make. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy takes courage and I look forward to supporting you in your journey.
