About me

Hello! Thanks for reaching out for support; I know that can be hard to do sometimes. I’m so glad you’ve come to BetterHelp for some support. Finding the right person to help you is very important. If you don’t have a good relationship with your clinician, you won’t make the progress you are hoping to achieve. I want to provide you with some information about me in order to help you decide if my experience and style will be a match for you. I have been a clinical social worker for more than 10 years and in private practice providing therapy for 4 years. I have experience working with people from all different backgrounds who are struggling with a wide variety of challenges. Much of my experience has been working with adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and the challenges of today’s busy world. I have significant work in the areas of adult and older adult life transitions and grief and loss especially. The feedback I receive from clients is that they find me to be compassionate and nonjudgmental, and they appreciate that I am honest and direct with them. You can expect me to walk with you through whatever difficulties you are facing and help you learn more about yourself and the way you interact with the world. I can interact with you in whatever manner you are most comfortable. I find it very helpful to participate in video sessions so that we can get to know each other better. At the same time, I am also available to you via phone and text if that is more comfortable for you. Most of my availability is in the evenings and on the weekends but I will check messages at least once during each weekday. I know how hard it can be to find a clinician who you feel a connection with and I would be honored to work with you through this stage of your life.
