About Jason
Hello, and welcome. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience working with adults and teens who are navigating anxiety, ADHD, depression, OCD, family conflicts, relationship difficulties, addiction and substance-use concerns, life transitions, stress, low self-esteem, and feeling stuck or disconnected from the life they want to be living. I believe therapy works best when you feel comfortable being yourself and know that you are being heard without judgment. My approach is supportive, collaborative, and practical. I want to understand not only what you are struggling with today, but also the experiences, relationships, and patterns that may have contributed to where you are now. I use an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, solution-focused therapy, psychodynamic approaches, and positive psychology. Rather than using the same approach with everyone, I tailor our work to your individual needs, personality, age, experiences, and goals. I have experience helping clients struggling with addiction and problematic substance use, including exploring triggers, identifying patterns of behavior, developing healthier coping strategies, strengthening motivation for change, and addressing the underlying emotional issues that can contribute to substance use. I also work with clients affected by addiction within their families and relationships. When working with teens and young adults, I understand that issues involving identity, self-esteem, family relationships, friendships, school, motivation, anxiety, and the transition into adulthood can feel overwhelming. My goal is to create an environment where younger clients feel respected, understood, and comfortable talking openly about what they are experiencing. Some people come to therapy knowing exactly what they want to change, while others simply know that something doesn’t feel right. Either starting point is okay. Together, we can identify patterns that may be holding you back, develop healthier ways of coping, strengthen relationships and self-confidence, and work toward meaningful changes in your life. My goal is to provide a space where you can speak openly, gain greater insight into yourself, and leave our sessions with a clearer understanding of what you can do next. Therapy can be challenging at times, but it can also be an opportunity to reconnect with yourself, recognize your strengths, and create a life that feels more aligned with who you want to be. I look forward to working with you. Read more Show less
