About Janet

My name is Janet Nestor, MA, LCMHC, DCEP and I've been a therapist for over twenty years. I work with men, women, and teens aged fourteen and up. I have a rather informal approach to counseling. I am client-centered, and I utilize insight therapy. I work with somatic therapies and with traditional cognitive therapy. My first career was in special education, working with adolescents and adults with ADHD, learning differences, autism, and physical disabilities. I continue to work with these issues in my counseling practice. I love counseling sensitive people and empaths, as I have lived that journey. Over the years, I've worked with many people suffering from Lyme Disease and autoimmune illness. I have good experience working with people with substance abuse issues and with those in long-term residential recovery programs. I excel in working with anxiety, panic attacks, stress, phobias, and other anxiety-related challenges. You will find that I am easy to talk with, I will meet you where you are, and we will work from there in a way that is designed just for you. I look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to my BetterHelp practice. Read more Show less
