About me

Hi! My name is Jamie and I’ve been a counselor for about a decade now. I specialize in toxic and abusive relationships. That could be with parents, a romantic partner, or friendships. I’m trained in quite a few therapies (cognitive behavioral therapy or CBT is one of them) but the most important thing is finding something that works for you. You’re an individual, so counseling will be tailored to what your specific needs are-and maybe you don’t know what you want/need right now because you’ve never been to counseling! That’s fine, too! The relationship between counselor and individual is key. It’s so important to have a trusting bond so I will spend time getting to know you, as well as help. I believe everyone has the power to promote change within themselves but sometimes we all need a little guidance. What an awesome step you’ve made. I know it took courage! I offer a non-judgmental atmosphere, because we’re all people and we all have pasts. A little about me: I practice yoga and Reiki healing. I like spending my days with my partner and our two boys, reading, and crocheting (very therapeutic!). I also enjoy hiking and traveling. I can’t wait to get to know more about you and help you where you are in your journey.
