About James

Everyone has a story: how we live within our stories affects the people we are and who we are in the process of becoming. Our stories are about the things we’ve done and the things that have been done to us. We’ve hurt people and been hurt by people. We all have parts of our stories we wish we could change, erase or do over. We’ve listened to, believed and internalized things we or other people have said about us with profound impact. I believe in listening to and working within your story to help and I would be honored if you choose to share your story with me. I am licensed in Colorado with 5 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress, anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, trauma, abuse, & military/first responder and their family's unique situations. I approach the counseling relationship from a person centered theoretical orientation: that is, I believe every person has the answers they are looking for inside of them. My job is to empower my clients to find those answers and help them live their fullest life possible. There are some who may believe a counselor has all the answers; I know I am on the same journey as the people who sit across from me. I would be honored if you allowed me to walk along side you on your way. Read more Show less
