About me

My passion is working with individuals who have suffered from the consequences of making high-risk decisions. These decisions have resulted in legal, medical, and interpersonal dilemmas. I use a focused, solution-oriented approach designed to explore the context within which these decisions and associated patterns of behavior have become impractical and repetitive. We will explore alternative problem-solving approaches that incorporate mindfulness, paradox, metaphor, and contingency management. My background involves working with individuals/couples/families in crisis. I have extensive experience working with alcohol and drug abuse, and individuals with co-occurring mental health and psychiatric issues. My experience of long-term recovery in my own life informs my practice. “Today well lived, makes every yesterday a dream of happiness and every tomorrow a vision of hope.” Sanskrit Proverb
