About Gretchen

My name is Gretchen Raring, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-NJ, FL, AZ & ND; LICSW-MA) with more than 20 years of experience in behavioral health. I earned my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Temple University in Philadelphia and have worked across a wide range of settings, including mental health, addiction, homelessness, incarceration, and community-based care. Today, I work with teens through older adults, as well as couples, and have supported clients from many different backgrounds, cultures, and life experiences. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a true partnership. My style is warm, authentic, collaborative, and practical, with a focus on helping you feel understood while also creating meaningful forward movement. I work with you, not just for you. My approach is structured but flexible and tailored to your individual needs, strengths, experiences, and goals. Together, we look beneath the surface, connect patterns, and build a deeper understanding of what may be keeping you stuck. I also provide practical tools and strategies that can translate into everyday life. At the heart of my work is a belief that meaningful change does not require perfection or a one-size-fits-all approach. I meet you where you are, adapt the work as we go, and help you move toward greater clarity, confidence, and sustainable change. Read more Show less
