About Emily
I have been a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (NC and FL) and Licensed Professional Counselor (VA) for over 25 years. With a wealth of expertise and knowledge in regards to shifting actions behaviors, and cognition, it is my intent to utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and solution-focused therapy to work with individuals and couples and families in reaching their optimal mental health goals. In addition, my plan would be to assist in teaching new skills and adding positive tools for individuals' mental health toolbelts. I have worked in private practice, the school system, the hospital system, and most recently, with the military population as a Military and Family Life Counselor. I understand the vast differences in peoples lives and history of mental health and can appreciate the effort that it takes for one to reach out for "help."
