About Ebony

Hello, I am Ebony Shoemo, and I am here to help you dig. Dig not only to find the courage to take the step towards healing, but to work with you to gain access to the pieces you need for change. I am a graduate of Troy University with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am a License Professional Counselor with the state of Georgia as well as a member of the National Board of Certified Counselors. Over the past four years, I have worked in community mental health as well as a mental health therapist in the public school system. I have experience working with children, adolescents and adults with diverse backgrounds. I gravitate towards a person-centered approach where you are the expert and lead the therapy session. I believe in treating the whole self. I utilize Cognitive behavior therapy, mindfulness, solution focused brief therapy, social skills training, relaxation training and acceptance and commitment therapy. My areas of specialty include, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, mood disorders, trauma and crisis interventions. I am a wife, mother and a veteran who love to serve those who have served. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband and kids. I love to hike, exercise, and cuddle up with my blanket/heater and watch a good movie. I am excited about our journey and looking forward to the dig! Read more Show less
