About Dr.

I am an experienced Doctor of Psychology, a licensed Marriage, Family therapist that has insight, empathy and a sense of humor! In over the 20 years that I have been working in the field I have seen many clients change their lives through changing their thought process. Thoughts are things and they create our reality. As a cognitive behavioral therapist I work with my clients to identify the 'stinking thinking' that keeps us stuck in negative life patterns. We all operate from the beliefs created by children...that is our world view is formulated by early experiences - both positive and negative. These 'beliefs' are ofttimes wrong, irrational and downright harmful. The good news is that all can be corrected by reframing negative thought patterns and creating an affirming belief system that encourages us to embrace all that is good and positive within us and our environment. I encourage mindfulness in the recovery from anxiety and depression - a refocus on what is working instead of what is not. Starting psychotherapy takes courage and a willingness to address vulnerabilities in order to 'recreate' the Self in a more loving and accepting way. I value my clients and have witnessed transformations through the work that we do together. Read more Show less
