About Dr.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist and have spent the past 20 years working with a variety of populations that include geriatrics, brain injury and pain management. I have extensive experience working with patients who have chronic medical conditions, as well as traditional areas of psychology such as depression, anxiety, grief and adjustment. I received my training in a teaching hospital at the University of Florida and have spent the past 16 years working with patients who are seeking to lose weight via surgery or behavioral techniques. I tend to use a cognitive behavioral and solution focused approach but it is often necessary to explore past history in order to gain insight. I view therapy as a collaborative relationship and I strive to provide a therapeutic environment that is safe and accepting. Read more Show less
