About Dr.

Hi there! I am Dr. Nancy Simpson, licensed clinical psychologist in South Carolina. I'm currently retired from a 30- year, rewarding teaching career at our local community college. I hope to give back to the therapeutic community. Early in my career I was a practicing neuro-psychologist and worked in both in-patient and out-patient settings. I performed neuropsychological assessments, assessed brain/behavior relationships and diagnosed mental illness. But, I found my true calling in academic psychology. Now it's time to return to my roots to help others. I am well trained, compassionate, insightful, and bring mutual respect and caring to therapy. When not teaching or mentoring, you can find me on my hobby farm, milking goats, making cheese, and tending my honey bees. I have many rewarding hobbies including spinning and weaving. I work as a craft interpreter at an historic southern plantation. If you think we'd be a fit on your journey of exploration and/or healing, I'd be delighted to work with you. Read more Show less
