About Dr.

Thank you for your interest and congratulations in taking the first steps in reaching your goals and making the changes you want to make! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensed in the states of Georgia and Washington and live in GA so I am in the EDT timezone. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns such as depression, anxiety, life transitions, work related stress, parenting challenges, ADHD, and Autism. I believe that counseling can provide education, support and a plan for the direction you would like to go. Therapy is a safe place where you can explore many emotions, fears and patterns of behavior that are preventing you from healing yourself and living a life where you are content and at peace. Any answers you need about how to live the life that is going to bring you fulfillment, joy and peace, are within you. Healing requires action. You can heal yourself with some bold and decisive moves. Counseling can provide a plan of action. If you are dealing with life transitions, stress, depression or anxiety, it is time to get real with yourself and deal with anything that isn't serving you. Commit to feeding thoughts, words and actions that are going to lead to joy and growth. My approach is primarily Cognitive Behavioral. This simply means that as we discuss what brings you to therapy I may focus on the two things. First the cognitive piece: what are you thinking or what are thoughts/beliefs that you have that aren't working for you and how do we change those. Then, the behavioral piece: what are things you keep doing that's not working for you and how do we change those. I am a support person for you as you determine what your goals are and we develop a plan on how to get there. I look forward to working with you! Read more Show less
