About Dr.

Hi there! I’m Dr. Amanda Nicholson, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a specialty in sex therapy. I hold a Master’s in Family Therapy and a Doctorate in Human Sexuality Studies with a clinical concentration in sex therapy. For over 10 years, I’ve worked with individuals who want to better understand and shift challenges related to intimacy, sexual trauma, self-esteem, anxiety, and life transitions. I specialize in helping Black women of faith reclaim their sexual self-esteem and navigate the intersection of spirituality, identity, and desire with confidence and compassion. My approach is warm, relational, and trauma-informed, helping you better understand the patterns shaping your emotional experiences and relationships. Therapy is a journey with peaks and valleys, and I’d be honored to walk alongside you as your guide. Read more Show less
