About Dianna
Congratulations on taking steps toward self-care!
I first became interested in psychology as a teenager after taking a psychology course for the first time in high school. I had a wonderful teacher as well that future encouraged my interest in helping others in a subject that really made sense to me. I've gone through a few different career paths since then but finally landed in the field of counseling. I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2013 after graduating from Sam Houston State University. I have worked in the field of community mental health the majority of the time and I also do court ordered treatment groups and individual therapy part time on the side.
I am a big believer in the value of healing from our past experiences as well as learning to forgive ourselves and others. My goal is to help guide you through whatever your needs or goals are at the time in a way that allows you grow, build self-reliance and provide you tools.
This could be through healing from past trauma, strengthening your emotional muscles, building a coping skill tool box and increasing your awareness and insight into your own mental health and place in your world. Read moreShow less
