About me

My name is David Rice and I want to first say that because you are here you are already on the path to healing. My profession as a therapist is one that I take very seriously because I know that people are valuable, their lives are precious, and joy and contentment should be in each and every one of us. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor located in Idaho. I have twenty years experience providing clinical support to a diverse population over that amount of time. In 2001 I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from Adams State University, Alamosa, Colorado. I am also a National Certified Counselor. I have worked with all age groups and have experience working with a wide range of presenting issues including relationship conflicts, self image, grief and loss, trauma, motivation and anxiety. I would describe my approach as client-centered and solution-focused. I provide a compassionate, empathetic style, while also empowering and challenging clients to be their best selves. I use an integrated approach with clients, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Solution focused therapy, Client-Centered Therapy and Rational Emotive Behavior therapy. I encourage clients to set realistic goals and objectives throughout the therapy process and I am committed to joining, supporting, and encouraging my clients in that process.
