About me

Hello, my name is Dania Feller Anderson and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. First, I want to thank you for taking your time to learn more about my practice. An individual’s stressors are deeply personal, so taking this first action is already a significant accomplishment on your part. I have been a Clinician since graduating Columbia School of Social Work in 1995. Since that time, I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings as well as maintain a Private Practice, started in 2004. My background includes the areas of: Addictions, Trauma, Anger Management, Depression/Anxiety, Employee Assistance, Relationship & Communication Skills, Family Systems, Medical & Health Difficulties, Eating Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Stress Management, Motivation/Life Transitions & Self Esteem Challenges. I utilize a Cognitive Behavioral Therapeutic Model to explore patterns of thinking along with Strengths-Based approaches to build resilience. Many of the individuals who I work with have found themselves feeling stuck and looking for ways to get moving again. Through the process we explore how thoughts can play tricks on us, which have negative effects on feelings and actions. This can easily lead to feeling stuck making it difficult to connect with all aspects of the self and to see solutions. In working together to get unstuck, we can identify these thoughts and explore new ones that might change the results. I look forward to getting to know you better as you take this next step forward!
