About me

Hello, my name is Courtney Burrus! I am so glad you made the brave decision to get help. Everyone needs help here and there and I am here to offer that to you. I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Texas. I have 8 years of experience working in a private practice setting. For the past 3 years, I have been working in hospital settings to assess and provide clinical treatment for individuals. I have worked with a variety of individuals that include depression, anxiety, trauma, addictions, mood disorders, personality disorders, relationship issues, and family issues. I believe that we are all unique. I use this principle in counseling. There is not a one-sized fit all approach to counseling. I like to provide clients with an individualist approach tailored to your wants, needs, desires, and struggles. Counseling is deeply personal and I want to honor that by providing a safe, warm, and relaxing environment. I use a variety of approaches such as cognitive-behavioral, existential, and client-centered to help you become a healthier version of yourself. We will walk through whatever life has put in your way together. I’m so glad that you have taken this important step in your journey. I look forward to working with you!
