About me

Hi my name is Corey Winston I have been working in the mental health field since 2007 an have served children and adults in the IDD, MH, and SU populations. I have a strong desire to enable individuals, who receive mental health services to access services, make choices, pursue aspirations, and live and interact with dignity and respect in their communities. My Bachelor of Arts in Sociology along with my Master’s of Social Work degree from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke has taught me social competence that will allow me to help individuals cope with their illnesses. Having worked in the mental health field for the past 13 years and providing therapy for 5 years, has helped me to develop an deeper understanding of these individuals and has enabled me to not show bias toward any individual that is willing to get help. I have always had a strong interest in helping individuals with mental illness and disabilities, and I would enjoy the opportunity to work with you on your journey!
