About Clarissa

Hi! I’m glad you’re here. I know reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, especially when you’ve spent a long time trying to manage everything on your own. My goal is to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are, feel genuinely heard, and know you don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) with experience in helping adolescents and adults navigate eating disorders, trauma, addiction and recovery, anxiety, depression, body image, and life transitions. My background includes residential treatment, outpatient care, and private practice, with experience in individual, couples, family, and group therapy. My approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you as we explore what’s holding you back, recognize your strengths, and develop tools that work for you. I understand that sometimes the things we do to cope are the very things that eventually leave us feeling stuck. Together, we can work toward understanding those patterns without judgment and finding healthier ways forward. As an Inclusive Eating Disorder Specialist, I am especially passionate about helping people build a more peaceful relationship with food, their bodies, and themselves. My approach embraces the Health at Every Size® (HAES) model and the All Foods Fit philosophy, focusing on compassion, flexibility, and freedom from shame. I believe healing isn’t about having everything figured out or getting it right all the time. It’s about learning to give yourself the same grace you so often give others, finding the courage to try something different, and building a life that feels meaningful to you. Wherever you are in your journey, you deserve support, understanding, and a space where you can be authentically yourself. I would be honored to be part of your journey. Read more Show less
