I am an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) in Texas with over 8 years of experience, CCATP (Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional), and TTS (Tobacco Treatment Specialist, certified by the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center). I enjoy working with individuals (children, adolescents, & adults), families, and groups, in both outpatient and inpatient settings. I also have several years of experience working with the U.S. Veterans (combat and non-combat). Below is a brief description of my treatment experience: Career counseling. Development of treatment plans, including establishing short and long-term goals tailored to each individual’s concerns, issues, personal goals, past history, and current situation, etc. Tobacco/nicotine-addiction treatment counseling. Relationship and adjustment issues to life changes. Trauma, PTSD, & anxiety. Suicide prevention. Bipolar disorder and depression. Pain-injury cases. Prior clinical research experience at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center/Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, TX, the Menninger Clinic (affiliated with Baylor College of Medicine in the Texas Medical Center, Houston), Baylor College of Medicine, Department of Family & Community Medicine, and Thomas Street Health Center & Smith Clinic (Harris Health System).
