About me

I am a professional counselor, licensed in Oregon, with over 15 years of experience. I have worked as both a residential substance abuse treatment counselor and as a outpatient mental health counselor with an employee and family assistance program. I have worked with clients with a broad range of issues including substance abuse, depression, anxiety, relationship concerns and sexuality. I have also worked with first responders who have experienced trauma. My counseling style is warm and supportive, with a little bit of humor thrown into the mix. All clients will be treated with respect and compassion, regardless of where they are on their life’s journey. I strongly believe that the client is the only expert of his/her/their life and it is my job to help each one reach their full potential. We enter counseling to change something in our lives; whatever we are currently doing isn’t working. But we must change how we think in order for our new behaviors to have lasting change. To this end, my approach combines cognitive-behavioral, rational-emotive, and client-centered counseling. Just as each client is unique, each treatment plan must be as well. We will work together to create a plan that meets your specific needs. I look forward to our first session!
