About me

Hi there, and welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Carin (Karrine) and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, licensed to practice in both California and Virginia. I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals, couples, families, teens, adolescents, and children—basically, if you’re human and willing to talk, we’ll get along just fine. Therapy with me is not just about venting on a couch (though there’s plenty of space for that too); it’s about creating real, lasting change. I take a solutions-focused approach, which means we’re not just going to dig through the past for sport, we’re going to use what we learned to grow. I like to say therapy isn’t a one-time fix; it’s a lifestyle shift. Like drinking water, getting sleep, and realizing you don’t have to answer that text message right away. Growth is a process, but we’ll make it manageable, meaningful, and enjoyable. I believe in the incredible resilience and ability of people to heal and grow, even if they feel stuck right now. I especially love working with those who understand that the mind and body are a team. One doesn’t clock in without the other. So if you’re paying attention to your physical well-being, that’s already a huge win in our work together. When you come to therapy, come ready to step into the next chapter of your personal growth. You don’t need to have it all figured out, just bring yourself, your story, and willingness to grow. We’ll go from there:) Warm Regards, Carin
