About me

Hello, I’m Cara and I have practiced counseling for over 10 years. I have worked with those battling addiction, adults and adolescents who struggle with depression, anxiety and conflict resolution. I have experience working with adolescents, families, couples and individuals. My experiences include working in outpatient, residential and in-home counseling settings. I believe in listening to what the client needs and at the same time challenging them. I feel the way to do this is building a good rapport and to have open communication. I use more of a client based approach but am open to adjusting to what the client needs. There is a stigma around mental health which I feel needs to change. I believe every individual should seek counseling if they feel they need help and there should be no shame attached to receiving counseling services. I look forward to helping those who are looking to take the steps to better themselves.
