About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker with over 25 years of helping clients heal and overcome personal challenges . I am experienced in working with individuals, families and groups in a variety of settings including community mental health, private practice, trauma intervention and counseling, family preservation/parenting skills training, family law/mediation/divorce, and addiction treatment and coaching. I am available to work with you around issues of grief, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, women’s issues, relationship conflict, LGBT issues, family conflict/domestic violence, trauma/post-traumatic stress disorder, and substance abuse. My experience includes working with parents in navigating challenges of setting boundaries and developing positive discipline methods with children and teenagers, with a primary focus on healthy family systems. My treatment modalities include: Cognitive Behavioral, Client-Centered Therapy, Family Systems, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Gottman-Relationship Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, 12-Step Recovery and Somatic Therapies to incorporate mind, body, and spirit into therapeutic healing. If you choose to work with me, my counseling approach is non-judgmental, and empathetic. I see my role as a guide, a mentor to assist you on your journey to identify what you need in order to heal. My initial commitment to you is providing a safe environment for you as we work together to identify your therapy needs and identify your treatment goals. I believe every person has the ability to find their way to move forward and live a more purposeful, satisfying life. I look forward to working with you!
