About me

I am a licensed professional counselor and a licensed chemical dependency counselor in the state of Texas. I have been in private practice and mental health inpatient for three years and have spent the last 17 years supporting the community through behavioral coaching/counseling in schools. I have experience working with clients with ADHD, stress, anxiety, trauma, depression, suicidal ideation, addiction, PTSD, family issues and career counseling. I use cognitive behavioral therapy to help the client find new perspectives and ways of managing their thoughts and behaviors. I also use solution focused therapy , dialectical behavior therapy and motivational interviewing. I have experience working with clients from diverse populations including children, adults, geriatrics, foster care, low socioeconomic levels, veterans and supporting others with varying disabilities. I like to create a open, warm and judgement free place for clients to work in therapy. I adjust to my clients needs and get their input for setting goals for treatment. I truly believe the counselor/client relationship is vital to positive outcomes in therapy and I work hard to create that space for you! It takes courage to face problems and seek help, I look forward to exploring this journey with you and I am glad your here!
