About Aurora

Hello, I am Dr. Aurora G. Pal-Montaño. As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) for over twenty-five (25) years, I have worked with individuals, couples, and families from all walks of life and across all ages, from children and adolescents ages 6 to 17 years old to adults and older adults. Concerns clients bring to my attention have included: anxiety, depression, mood swings, inattentiveness, life-work planning, couple/parental/family relationships, anger, grief, pain management and related stressors, among others. In session, I listen attentively and provide a non-judgmental safe space to talk, and through a motivational and collaborative process, guide and offer information and insights to facilitate and empower my clients' capabilities to develop skills to work around their problems and effectively prevent impairments they may cause or contribute. In my experience, a person in counseling has taken a positive step to confront and move forward from a problem or problems he/she/they may have struggled with for sometime. My role as a counselor is to encourage and support my clients in their goals to gain sufficient information, perspectives, and skills to enhance their unique and positive capabilities as individual persons, and as members of families and communities.
