About me

Born number seven of eight children in a small village in the southern United States, I’ve known from an early age, that God called me as a helper, encourager, and guide. My gifts, skills and desires wholeheartedly used even as a young child, and relentlessly pursued over the years through formal education and training are unique to my purpose as a gifted, compassionate, empathetic Licensed Professional Counselor, Christian Counselor, and Life Coach. With over 23 years’ experience, I have worked with diverse clients from children to adults, experiencing a wide range of issues, including depression, anxiety and ADHD; ranging from relationship, parenting, and career challenges; and across various settings. I also help individuals who have experienced traumatic life events. My theoretical orientation is primarily integrative, and may include cognitive-behavioral, cognitive processing, solution-focused, holistic, person-centered, Christian, and experiential techniques. My role as Counselor is to provide an atmosphere that will allow you to take a closer look at your thoughts, feelings, and actions, while guiding you on your journey of change and purpose. This is done by providing and utilizing the most appropriate interventions to yield optimum results to best serve you. Counseling is “heart-work” for me, and I am committed 100% to assist you with accomplishing positive change in your life, and ask that you commit to yourself — to do the same.
