About Antwynette
Hey there! I'm Dr. Antwynette Shields and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor located in Mississippi. I have 14 years of professional experience working in public and private mental health sectors. I'm also a Certified Mental Health Therapist and a National Certified Counselor. My credentials and educate reflect my commitment to this field and to those I am blessed to serve! My approach to therapy is compassionate and non-judgmental. I believe that you are the ultimate expert on your own life. My role is not to dictate your path, but to offer a safe, compassionate, and entirely non-judgmental space where we can explore it together. My therapeutic style is deeply person-centered and rooted in empathy, warmth, and authenticity. Healing can occur when we are allowed to process our thoughts and feelings safely. The foundation of my approach is person centered, however, my theoretical framework is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
